new car oil change

you don't need a lot of lift tool you can get a set of "rino ramps"

@ walmart for about $30 they work great and should last forever!

Darn good advice! Some metric wrenches, an oil filter wrench, drain pan, and crush washers (if called for), and you're in the oil change biz.

Don't be nervous about changing your oil..

basic tools

little info

Take your time

and you are all set!

It really feels good when you are done, you know the oil filter is not too tight for the next change, you know that the old oil has been FULLY drained, you know what oil is in there.. etc, etc...

Once you get the ramps or jack and stands/blocks, wrench set, filter wrench and drain pan you ae good to go... they will payt for themselves exponentially!!!

I don't agree with that.

You are fine going synthetic right away. Why use sub-par oil for 10,000 miles, it makes no sense. I mean, if you have something to back that up, by all means post it. But I don't see the logic in that.

Anyways, you can't go wrong with Amsoil Synthetic. It's all I run in my car and it performs flawlessly and actually raised my MPG when I switched.

Glazing of the cylinder walls, which likely happens when most people improperly break-in their engines with regular oil anyway.

Looks like I have to buy some new tools to do the oil changes myself. Anyways, as much a headache I feel having a new car, I guess I have to adapt to it:) Thanks again.
