I have not had a white car in 20 years. :bored:
I gave it some new car love as it had been a bit long in the tooth on the lot (it was a great deal - hence the white). The paint was not too bad off. I did not feel the need to clay it but it was a bit soiled. I took a look at my shelf and picked up some Swirl-X and started in with an Orange pad on my cyclo. Cleaned up nice and did some minor correction. I noticed a few deeper scratches here and there but unlike my previous vehicles I was not compelled to do anything with them at this time. Score white paint and the livability factor.
I moved on to some Optimum poli Seal with a green pad and followed that with a Chemical guys glaze on a blue pad. Yes the Poli seal has a sealant, that I lost some of, in that step but that is what I had
I followed that later with opti seal and the whole thing looked pretty good. But nothing great.
I decided to throw on a coat of collinite paste and then since it was around some 845 and final removal with a white pad and a bit of water. Better. Collinite did super wonders on my Silver Subarus. It did nothing for my blue-grey Mazda but does seem to agree with the GTI.
Any thoughts on further pop that I may be able to get out of this paint?
Love playing with new paint. This paint may be boring but I am betting a great daily driver.
