needh elp got road tar on the paint

hey i have a g35 andd have some road tar on the piant small specs should the clay bar take it off and ima be using bug and tar remover on the lower half of the bumper is it safe or should i dilute it????

If it were me.......

I'd start with PB Bug Squash & the pb bug micro.

Start with a dilution of 3:1
let soak, then rub with wet micro.

If that doesn't get it all, lower dilution 2:1 follow above.
If that doesn't get it all, lower dilution 1:1 follow above.
If that doesn't work, use it straight.

Remember if you use is stronger than 3:1 you will need to re lsp that area.

I like PB's Bug Squash, but haven never used it for tar removal, so I can't say. Stoner's Tarminator is purpose built for tar removal. It has always performed and thus is the first product I reach for.

+1 on the Tarminator. Just let it dwell for a few minutes and then wipe it off.

Tar will trash your clay bar in seconds!

LIFTER 1 bug and tar remover. made short work of the tar i had on the jeep.

A bug and tar remover is whats needed. The bug off will not do it alone. Mineral spirits was also mentioned here, It will work because it will dissolve the tar. This way it will not scratch while trying to wipe off the tar pieces. It will also work on tack, or larger transport emulsions.:howdy

hey guys thanks for your help i went to walmart today with the wife and picked up tutrlewax bug and tar remover works great and is safe on the paint it says it polishes it but it didint discolor anything after i was done iwiped the residue off and waxed it and its great stuff is like magic
