Need to get my 2003 Honda Accord Coupe painted, can you help?

My 2003 Honda Accord Coupe has been sitting outside under the hot Southern California (Brea, Orange Country) for it's entire life. Now the paint is not in good shape and I'm looking to get it painted on a tight budget. I don't want to take it to Maaco since the quality of their paint work isn't great. Is there anyone that could help me with this project? How quickly could you get the job done and please send me your best price. I would like to use the factory paint (Nighthawk Black?). Thank you for your help.

Not on your area and can't help much with the paint recommendation but are you sure the paint is salvageable (if you're interested)? Post some pics if possible.

cptzippy, I've already tried compounds, polish, clay bar... name it i have tried it. After many hours of work I've had some results but not enough. I think at this point a paint job (within my budget) is the only option. Maybe I don't have to paint the entire car, but probably will. Any direction or quotes would be helpful. Thank you again for the reply and if you feel there is something that I could try that I already haven't... I'm all ears. I'll try to post some pictures later.

Richard Lin is in SoCal (think OC). Look up Showcardetailing.com. Not a painter but a knowledgeable guy that might be able to point you in the right direction.

You aren't going to get a quality paint job on a tight budget. Simply doesn't work that way. Doing it right is very labor intensive and the minimum you are probably looking at around here (Dallas area) would be around $2000, so being in SoCal, add about 35% to that price.

+1. Scott is correct, but I think a quality job is going to range into the multi-thou$and dollar tier.

We had a car painted once by Maaco so it didn't look so bad. It was a car we didn't really care about. We went in thinking $250 or whatever they advertise. We ended up leaving for just under $1000 once they were done with us. They wanted to add all sorts of stuff. I think it's like the "$39 brake job" at Midas, etc. No doubt the car looked better, but they use real crap paint and I could have done better body work myself.

The car was a 1988 Olds that had the classic GM clearcoat FAIL where the horizontal surfaces were just gone. If the car didn't run so well, we would have never spent the $$ on it.

I started off by taking the car to my regular paint guy. He didn't want to get into it, said he would not take our money on a car like this. He sent us to a very specific Maaco location that had a "better" reputation.

Some people might do all the prep work and bring their own paint to Maaco and let them spray it. Don't know if you have the time or temperament to get into such things, George.

Whats a good place in DFW to get a paint job. My 2000 Accord has clear coat failure on the roof and I want to get my front bumper and hood repainted due to rock chips.

Aldo and his staff do an amazing job, he is the only one I send my customers to and the only one I personally use.
