Need some quick responses

My dad just got a new Tacoma Double Cab. He's 65 and I know the most advanced wax he probobly ever used was Turtle Wax in a tin can. I am going to send him a bottle of Klasse AIO I have in stock. I have some Blackfire AFPP and FMJ I could send as well. But at 65 I just not sure he could handle a 2 step proces at his age. What you think? Just Send him Klasse AIO solo or the sealants as well?

ED you asked for a quick reply .. so here is mine.

If the cab is new why not just send him the FMJ? Easy on easy off in one layer, which I suspect will protect for longer than the AIO alone would protect?

I think I know your thought process on this, but if claying, laying down a layer of AIO following by a sealant might be too much for your dad, I'd just ask him to apply one coat of a good sealant like FMJ. Not ideal, but a better solution than one layer of Turtle wax that he might do himself.

Just my 2 cents...

Small world.

I ordered a Tacoma Sport Double cab last week, should be here today.

This week I clayed both my cars put three coats of Mothers new Reflections on one and Two coats of Mothers new Synwax on the other. I do it because I enjoy it.

I also did all the wheels, tail lights, head lights and chrome with Mothers new Power Ball.

I'm 64 and had no problem, in fact going to give them each an other coat today.

Your Dad should have no problem, in fact if you help him he will probably tire you out trying to keep up with him.

Attaching a photo of my old pick up with Mothers new Synwax to show you that we oldies can do some basic detailing.

Tell your Dad to enjoy his new pick up.

Just send him some NXT. That will do the trick for him.

NXT

One step, looks good and be applied easily and buffed even easier, locally available and inexpensive.

Everyone is not an Autopian and finer products with their required prep may not be to his taste.

But if he is like his son send him the Klasse twins for now and your Z2-PRO (AIO and Z2-Pro) later. :D

Redondo, thx for the tip.. Never thought of it that way

blkZ28, good one..If I decide to give away Z2 Pro I will probobly take it to my grave..Id hate to give the forum a heart attack..LOL

Honestly, I would send him the AIO before the NXT. From *my* experience, durability is similar or better with AIO, and the AIO will keep the paint a little more "deep cleaned."

Very good point Zane. I am so use to just referring to AIO as a prep product I forget it does have good protective properties also.

I agree with Zane, I change my suggestion to AIO. :o

Totally off topic-I read this and the other post and thought that the AIO would be a better choice for an older guy, and then I though...wait a minute that older guy is my age
