I am going to detail a highly neglected red truck for a friend of mine, and I want to know what will give me the best results. She prefers the "wet" look, and I have the following items I can use:

Menzerna IP

Menzerna FP

3M IHG

3M Show It wax

Mothers CA Gold Cleaner wax

Meguirs #7

Meg's NXT

PoorBoys EX

Clearkote VM

Clearkote RMG

Menzerna FTG

Menzerna FMJ

4* UPP

S100

Pinnacle Souveran

Balckfire Sealent

Wolfgang DGPS

Again, the truck is a 1998 Chevy S10 in red, and it has been waxed, but never polished or cleaned, or anything serious. It is very oxidized. and needs serious work.

What do you all suggest?

Thanks!

AIO works pretty good, somewhere on this forum theres before and after pictures for a red oxidied truck also. the results looked pretty damn amazing to me.

id go polish first with merenza, slap on some s100/p21s polish/glaze, then top it off with some s100 or pinnacle.

VM and RMG make a nice combination. Although I haven't used it on red before, I've tried it on a dark grey metallic, black, and dark blue metallic and the results were quite nice. I topped the metallics with UPP and the black with souveran. a very wet look was created with the souveran, you might wanna try that.

I was looking through my cleaning supplies and realized that I have a Bottle of 3M Show-It car wax. Now, I have not found much info on it here, but I do remember liking the wet look it gave to my wife's white Honda Civic.

Again, I am going to detail my friends 1998 Red S100 Truck, and she likes "the wet look" so I am contemplating using this after AIO, and #7.

Any questions, comments, or concerns are totally appreciated! Thanks!

Well I could have stopped after SSR2.5 on that Protege and the owner would have thought it looked spectacular! :)

But of course I would never stop there. I had to see how much better I could make it look! That's the Autopian way!
