Greetings from an autopian newbie! I am new to this forum but I'm loving every minute (make it hours) that I'm spending here.
I am in need of help deciding on what products to use on a mobile detailing business. I detailed at my house part time for some extra cash mostly to friends and family but am thinking about going full time. My idea is to offer a basic detail and charge for all the add ons. I am thinking about offering paint chip repair, claying, polishing (paint, windshield, or headlights), carpet dying, upholstery cleaning (with an extractor), and trim restoration among some of the add on services.
OK, enough background info. Here is where I need the help. Which products would give me good balance in durability, quality, price, and ease to use. I am currently thinking about the products below for the basic detail:
Washing car and wheels: Optimums No Rinse
Interior: Meg's QD, Meg's Leather Cleaner and Conditioning
Glasses: Stoners Invisible Glass
External clear plastic: Plexus
Tires, plastic and rubber trim: Meg's Hyper Dressing (since I can control the gloss)
Wax/Sealant: Meg's Xpress Wax (would love a suggestion on a wax or sealant i can use in direct sunlight)
Wheels: Need help with an easy wax/sealant
I spent hours reading about so many products and so many people love different stuff that I am puzzled. I'm looking for stuff that's easy to use, can be done outdoors and in the winter, look good, and affordable. I'm also thinking of carying a premium line to do the full detail (premium) jobs.
Can you please give me your honest feedback about the products I listed as well as suggestions and why you are suggesting it?
Thank you all in advance!!!!
