One long, ongoing sentance.*

Someone needs to take the sandpaper away from you. It's just gonna drive you nuts till you screw something up. Then you're gonna drive us nuts wondering what you did wrong.

2 passes with an ssr is nothing.

As I said before (about 100 times) you should have come to detail weekend and learned how to do it properly.

*Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse..

Try going slower. Do smaller sections. Get one section looking good before moving on. That way you'll be able to tell what's working (speed, pressure, amount of product) and how long it will take for the car. It seems that many people decide to do the whole car at once right off the bat. Unless you just can't be seen in a car that's not "all the same" I would say take your time and work on a little bit at a time, trying out different combinations.

what do i do make a few more passes on speed 6 with the ssr2.5???

This indicates you're using some kind of PC style polisher?

Which machine do you have?

ori was thinking of geting 1200 grit sandpaper and wet sanding the whole car

Not a good idea... that's a VERY aggressive grit paper and the paint you're working on is going to be thin and hard.

I just wrote two articles that address this, maybe give them a read through first...

Removing Orange Peel & Sanding Marks with the Griot's ROP and the Wolfgang Twins

Wet-sanding - Fresh Paint vs Factory Paint

Besides being dangerous, unless this is a show car then for most people, removing the majority of shallow scratches is the wise thing to do and leave the deeper scratches alone.

:)

i have the pc7224 i give up im mean this car has alot of screathes and swirls and its gonna take like 3days to get em or most of them out i got it so there not as noticable but in the light you can still see em

Why not just take your time? Is there some sort of rush?

On the flip side - you're probably never going to get it perfect if it's a daily driver.

Patience, my friend. Patience and practice.

OK, I think you are off to a pretty good start using a PC, SSR2.5 and orange pad. This is a good place to start on a bruiser. I would pretty much know after trying this setup what may have to be done, example follow with polishing, or go more aggressive, then follow with polishing. Some pics would be helpful.

Also what other compounds/polishes/products/pads do you have on hand?
