Need Detailing For Lexus Bolingbrook

I was looking how much you guys charge for a exterior detail for a 2002 Lexus GS430. The car has some swirls and minor scratches, but the paint is smooth.

I recently clay barred it and it's been waxed about 3-4 months ago, just swirls from those gas station car washes.

I am not looking for anything crazy extensive just a new shine again.

You do realize that to remove those imperfections there is only one proper way.

Remeber that good work is never cheap. :xyxthumbs:xyxthumbs

PS: What color is it?

Yes, I realize that, I am not looking for heap detail, but not a real expensive one either. It's black, so the swirls show up pretty good.

be prepared to pay more for just having black paint.

You are lucky that it is a Lexus, because it is "easier" to correct. However, what you are asking for doesn't make any sense. (I don't mean to sound disrespectful)

The detailer will either remove all the 'swirls" for you or not. :D:D:D

What result are you looking for?

I know what you mean and you are not being disrespectful. I just wanted to see a ball -park figure on how much you guys think it would cost to remove ALL of the swirls, wash, wax, and polish.

Is Lexus paint usually softer?

Usually softer vs german paint. Unfortunately I don't know pricing for the Midwest. Surely someone will reply soon. I charge $50 an hour. I'd say $500 - $750?

I may be way off here.

What would you recommend getting the car detailed (removal of swirls, etc.) now or after the brutal Chicago winters? We have loads of salts on our roads here, maybe just putting a good layer of wax on before winter and detailing early spring?

Plus, I would have no other choice but to go through automated car washes to remove the salt during th winter time :wall

One question i would ask if you were my client is how are you going to maintain it once I was finished. Improper care after paint correction will put you back where you're at now. I would quote anywhere from $200-$350 depending on the pre inspection. I would want 6-9+ hours to do the job. Quality can't be rushed.

Man, if you were close by, I'd hire you to paint correct. We would both make $$$$ :D:D:D
