hey guys your always so helpful and quick to respond so heres another quick question. i have a 2003 g35coupe that i wash by hand with a mf mitt i have scratyched it a lil by using a dirty towel one time and left minor swirls and holograms so my question is can i just use the srr1 to repair them using the orange pad???

Re: need advice on pbs ssr1

That's a very light cutting polish and a very aggressive foam cutting pad, while it might remove the defects it also might leave some marring in the paint on your G35 Coupe.

Best thing to do would be to test on a small section and then check your results. Maybe try a polishing pad first and use good technique.

:)

Re: need advice on pbs ssr1

The SSR1 is a light cut polish, it has some Ok cutting ablities, sure would be the right one to start with. Work it real well into the surface I'm sure that it will help greatly on your minor scrtaches

Re: need advice on pbs ssr1

Rule of thumb always start with the least strongest combo(pad and polish) and work your way up until the problem is corrected (do test areas to show show progress).

Re: need advice on pbs ssr1

I would not use SSR1 with a orange cutting pad, a polishing pad would be a better choice with SSR1. If that doesn't cut it, I would move to SSR2.5/polishing pad, if thats not enough 2.5 and orange pad. This should do the trick, I have cleaned up lots of stuff with SSR2.5/orange pad.

I am a noob comparred to the posters above, but I have used the SSR-1 for a hand job.

Uhhh. Better stated, I have used it as a non machine applied material. Super material. About as abrasive as toothpaste. The fines seem to break down pretty quickly and liquify. I love the stuff.

Easy on the pecker too!:bigups
