Need a carpet detail - Tempe AZ

Six-Speeder
Is there anyone in the Phoenix area who could work on the carpets in a car I recently picked up? It's a 94 Acura Legend GS 6-speed, same color as my LS coupe 6-speed, but the carpets have seen better days.

I've been working on the paint this week (clay bar, Meguiar's NXT wax, etc) but I don't have anything to do the carpets with except a vacuum. There is a pretty bad stain in the driver's footwell - I think something leaked in there. I can take and send pictures. Just PM me or post if you're available and what your rate would be. I live near Broadway & McClintock but I could bring the car to you if you're not mobile.

If you know of anyone you recommend in this area, please let me know.

Trying to get this car looking mint! It's my new baby.

Thank you!

1.) did you look into the price to replace the carpet ....it might be worth it

2.) have you searched around on here and read the many threads about extracting

with a shot vac?

3.) good luck

1. Yes. I called around and was told that replacement molded carpets are most likely not available for this vehicle, and that if they are available, I'm looking at $1,000 depending on the pile. My other option is to have the shop put in "bulk" carpet, in which case the seams and sections will be readily visible and it's not going to look factory. Even in that case, the bottom line is $500 because of all the labor involved. I'd rather clean up my factory carpet since it's better quality and will potentially look a lot better than this cheap replacement carpet down the road.

2. I don't have a Shop Vac.

3. Thanks again :) Hopefully somebody around here can help me out.

1.)how about $150?:

1994 through 2001 Acura Integra 2 or 4 door carpet , meets oem standards for replacement - $148.50

2.) well worth the $40

Yeah, I saw a kit like that on Ebay. Cheap cheap quality, plus you have to cut your own holes for the seats and everything. I would just rather not deal with that. Figured I'd rather offer a fellow Autopian $100 for their time and effort if they can get the carpets looking decent. Thanks for the link though. :)

1. try this place:ACC: your authority for custom automotive carpet, floor mats, and more i can say there stuff is as close to factory as can be and some times better, you car will be $233.74. i also think on a car that old that is stained, it might be better to by new carpet.

2. buy the shop vac, ever one should have one

3. good luck, lol
