Don't know if it will help you, but a customer of mine recently had some collision damage repaired on his Benz GL at North Haven Auto Body. I've seen more bad work and marginal results in my travels than good; and for a production body shop the job was very well done.
Got a great recommendation thru the Connecticut Valley Porsche Club which I used to belong to many years ago. I'll soon see how good Porsche paint shops are compared to dealerships and independents.
