Either to Florida or North Carolina/Tennessee area...anybody around there have any input as to good areas or bad areas...and what the real estate markets are like around there?

Thanks!

Steve

I live in South Florida, it's pricey but I love it. If you like NYC, you'll probably enjoy the pace of life here. If you're looking to slow down, you might want to look more towards NC/Tenny. Watch out for Nashville though.

I left south Fl to SC and I'm very happy with my decision(sp?). Florida was just getting to expensive (insurance is killer) and a bit to crowded for my taste. I have always enjoyed Lakeland/Ocala, Fl plenty to do and not to crowded. Not sure how you handle heat but Fl and SC are kinda unbearable during the summer. SC is definitely hotter then Fl I can tell you that much. I also enjoy being able to see different seasons happen, Fl is just hot, real hot, omg I can stand it hot, then theres not that hot (we called that winter :D ). Also you can check out city-data.com and talk to more locals in any state and get there views.

I've read on the news that people are actually leaving FL to other states because it is getting super expensive to live and is very crowded. If you do not want the tons of crowds, you do not want FL, you want NC/TN. I've heard that NC's cost of life is really cheap and very calm.
