My SUV covered in Zaino!
I bought this 20003 trailblazer which had embedded swirls from the previous owner.
I am a bit dissapointed in that my pc could not rid them.
As a result, this detail of my own vehicle gave me the justification to get a rotary (dewalt 849) in the very near future. Scottwax, I honestly don't know how you do it with a pc only
In the end, I came out with satisfactory results. Once i get my rotary it will be a different story for sure. Upon "up close" inspection in sunlight and with "fluorescent lighting" i can see the swirls which keep me up certain nights. May be i'm being too picky but its work in progress until my rotary can be delivered. Overall, I'm no longer a fan of the porter cable but came out with a decent enough degree of shine and protection for the upcoming winter.
WG autobathe
WG clay
SSR3 w/ sonus orange pad - pc speed 6
SSR1 w/ sonus blue pad - pc speed 4
AIO x 1 w/ sonus blue pad - pc speed 3
z2 PRO x 3 by hand , with z8 in between layers
My SMR:
I hit it with my pc, with sonus orange pad at speed 6 using SSR3 and it did not make a dent into these swirls even after 4 passes !!! Of course i worked in small sections. Of course I worked the compound in long enough. Still in the end, i gave up.
Here are the final pics. Not bad. At least i have enough protection for the winter. I'll maybe add a few more layers before the winter officially arrives. Overall, i like the wet look z2 pro gave me with AIO.
