It has been an odd spring for me. The pollen and blooms came real heavy and early but it settled down very quickly. It seemed in past years the heavy pollen season lasted much longer than it did this year.

While it is nealry impossible to stop from accumulating on the paint, pollen is also very acidic and will eat through a wax/sealant coating in no time. Therefore, it IS beneficial to at least wash it off....if not a full wash then at least spraying water on the paint to remove the majority of the accumulation.

Ouch! Thanks for the info. I kinda figured that, as my father used to park his work car under a tree, and it would get coated in that stuff. After a few years, the paint was peeling on the hood, roof, and trunk, but not on the sides where the sun, or road salt would directly hit it. Could have been from the tree sap, though. Amazingly, he wouldn't get any bird poop on his vehicle, but I would, and I never parked under the tree. The thing is, the pollen is so bad where I am at, after I wash my car, it will show up again after an hour.

CCD's getting a major workout. I can't even remember the pollen being this bad, even further back than the 10 years they mention. I can't even wash or even QD fast enough without the car getting junk all over it again.
