WOW I just finished a Coat of SG using the eagle one foam pad. I will never use anything else. Once I got the pad good and wet with my qd and SG it went on smooth as ice with no hand fatigue. Quicker then the mf IMO.

I have been looking for one also to try. I can't seem to find the Eagle applicator.

How often do u guys SG? I'm not all that familar with Klasse products but is it some type of glaze that goes over the wax??

I SG every 3 to 4 weeks, but remember I am an Autopian and nut , you don't have to do it that way. Klasse SG is supposed to last 4 to 6 months. But why wait that long when you could keep layering it and get a better finish. 3 to 4 coats seem to be the number on the forum if I am not mistaken ,after that most people don't see a great difference. Also I got the pad from CMA.

After 3-4 coats you will not see a dramatic improvement in the shine, but you will get better swirl filling properties. :up

<strong class='bbc'>"A bit more"? Can you really tell a difference after layers and layers of SG? [/b]</blockquote>
Honestly, I could tell the difference between 1 and 2 coats, so I will always do 2 coats. But I could not tell the difference between 2 and 3 coats....but that is just me.

Yes, I could still see some imporvement in the swirl hiding abilities of Klasse SG even after 3 or 4 coats. Laters

sorry to go off topic, but i'm really new at this layering stuff, so i might ask some retarded q's.

what i'm getting from this thread about layering is that you don't need to layer SG all at the same time, it can be layered over time and over washes?? so the first time i apply my klasse( i just ordered from the GD) i should apply the AIO and SG. then the next week after i wash the car i can apply another coat of SG?

Hey VMaxima,

Thats right. I do a coat of SG about every 3 weeks, if you do a search, you will read some people SG coats back to back 1 hour apart, some say the more cure time the better if you can coat and then garage it. If you don't have a garage don't leave the SG on overnight . I did this and it was a mess in the morning.

I have seen alot of posts about putting a wax layer over the SG. Is this recommened? If so, does that not allow you to then go back and SG at a later time.

I was just wondering about the advantage of putting wax over the SG. I searched on the archives and saw that alot of people recommned Blitz on top of the SF as a topper.

Hey Pats,

Don't wax over the SG unless you are satisfied with the results of your layers of SG.You can't SG over the wax. IMO why wax when its not as durable, you could just put another layer of SG, unless you are going for a look that only a carnauba wax can give. To my eye I could't tell a big enough difference when I used Souveran. Its a GREAT wax. I have Blitz also. EASY to put on and off. But My car is not garaged and I live in FL. So maybe the Souveran lasted 1 to 2 weeks in the sun all day. Experment and see whats good for your situation.

I've only used a MF applicator to apply SG, but I've got some terry colth ones and a foam one laying around. Which do you guys consider to be the best at applying SG?

Thanks.
