I'm lucky- my old lady likes that I have what she calls a "hobby." We all know it's more of an obsession.

So I ask, What is there about us that makes us so nuts about attaining the ultimate clean, shine, depth, etc.? Why do we need that perfect looking chariot?

I admit it, I am a bit nuts: I buy new products all the time just to "test" them, hoping to find somethine that will dispace my favorite. And I know you all do the same!

So what gives, are we obsessed? Maybe we are, but it IS a healthy "hobby".

Thoughts? How do you justify it, and how far does it go?
 
I find it relaxing

To just go and clean the car and make it real shiny and clean is very relaxing to me.



Also there is a big sense of satisfaction once its really clean. There are so many times where i have detailed the car, and just keep going over the car admiring the shine - very satisfying



as long as you enjoy doing it, who cares what others say
