My issue with coating application.

I have only tried Duragloss Enviroshield and Cquartz (plain and UK)

What my question is, is can I just put the stupid Cquartz liquid into a spray bottle and use it like the Duragloss? Or has anyone else.

The reason I don`t like the Cquartz application is dabbing it on the suede towel I cant seem to get decent coverage, I see lines where the dabs were and even going in 2 different directions I end up with tic-tac-toe on the stupid paint. Am I the only one who has this problem and is there a different solution than putting the Cquartz in a spray bottle????

I like the Lake Country coating applicator pads. I tried those suede cloths once and didn`t care for them, either.

It shouldn`t matter if there are dabs of coating that seem to be unweighted on the mf suede. The criss-cross pattern of application spreads it out, and then after buffing with a mf towel, the rest of the product gets evenly spread out. I think the first application -- that is on a fresh mf suede -- should be a little bit heavier. See the following picture.

Also, work in smaller sections (2x2 max) initially to get good distribution and promptly buff off.

But, I have heard of spraying the coating before. See around 1:13 in this video.

I use the 4x4 microfiber towels and don`t have a problem. After the applicator gets semi-saturated you shouldn`t have a problem. You could spray it, but it might go on too thick depending on the sprayer and how fast you even it out. Try spraying it and report back. I spray Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating but that is a different animal.
