My GTO has the Winter Blues

Recently we got 6 inches of snow. Well since the GTO is my DD for this winter it was hating me. Today the temps were in the upper 40's so I got out and cleaned the car up.

Process:

PB's BW as a pre treatment

ONR (streaked like crazy because I used too much BW)

PB's S&G (cleaned up the streaks)

Natty's Blue on the windows (experiment)

Cleaned the wheels with P21S wheel cleaner

Dressed the tires with Z16.

P.S I can't wait until spring to deal with the swirl marks.

cool how do u compare blue to red?

This is the first time I've used the blue. I've got a friend that has a black 70 GTO that I will detail in the spring. That's when I'll have a good comparison.

Looks much better! I hate the winter and even more so all the road salt. Don't tell anyone but, I gave up and went through a touchless wash yesterday.

I seriously thought about doing that.

damn reminds me of my car. did you get all that swirling from just driving it on the roads in the conditions? i still have my summer wheels in my garage waiting to get washed..cant wash them though it hasnt been over 35 in weeks and they are still filthy :( i try to keep the salt off by going to the coin op pressure washes

The swirling is my fault. I used a cheap wash mitt type doohickey and it caused the swirl marks because I was feeling lazy when I tried ONR. I'm going to wait a little bit longer and order a couple more ulti-mitts and take care of the car the proper way.
