My First Test of Skill 2000 Black Accord

Hey guys, im new to the forums, but i've been lurking for about a year now. always been so impressed with the work i've seen and too ashamed of the stuff i do until now. This is a 2000 honda accord v6 coupe, metallic black, and pretty bad shape. actually, one of the worst cars i've ever gotten. But, thanks to Menzerna and Porter Cable, i've been able just about restore this car to showroom quality. However, i'm using this thread also as a critique session, cuz i still need help. Lemme know what you guys think! this car took me 8 or 9 hours of nonstop work with a 30 minute break.

Meg's Gold Class shampoo with sheepskin on top, microfiber on bottom/wheels

That's all for now, i'll have more either tonite or tomorrow of some nice daytime shots.
 
1) I'd say the results are good, but your pictures don't show it. Might want to invest in a pair of halogens and a tripod for the camera.



2) Do *something* for the poor salt-stained and baked steering wheel. Clean w/an APC, follow with 303 or PB Leather Stuff (it works great on rubber wheels; rub on ultra thin, let sit; buff off).



Has to look a LOT better than when you started.
 
what's a good APC? and for the wheel wells, what's a good product? im always hesitant on dressing the wheel wells cuz im scared that something like tire dressing will drip down if it rains and cause a loss of traction. thanks for the feedback guys, keep it comin'!
 
Wow that paint was definitely trashed before you fixed it. Great job.



I use Meguiars APC 4:1 on wheel wells, and NoTouch to dress the wells. No problems with it dripping off yet.

lol don't mind the sad face on my girl, she just had her wisdom teeth pulled a few days before.
 
def not. driving it in and out of an ice-encrusted garage like that... at least the owner didn't do what my sister does when it's icey out: scrape the ice off the paint by chipping it away with an ice scraper...
