My first big detail, black Celica

This was my first big detail that I've done. I was happy that it was on a black car because you can see EVERYTHING.

Exterior:

I started out with SSR2.5 and a Paradise Yellow pad. It left some decent hazing, so I tried it with an orange pad. It left less hazing but still a noticeable amount. I just decided to go over the whole car with that setup. I tried removing them with my 4* SMR but it wasn't aggressive enough to get them out, so I skipped that part. Holy bejeebus batman, I thought P21S was easy to remove. You can remove the 4* UPP just with the weight of your hand...amazing stuff

Interior:

I started by going nuts with the shop vac. There was sooo much crap all over, take a look at the pics and you'll see. I scrubbed the carpets with Meguiar's APC and just hit them with the hose. I was really impressed with this stuff as well, it made the carpets look pretty much new. I swear I had a puddle of mud next to the carpets after I was done. I dusted everything with a microfiber towel, a paintbrush and a can of compressed air. Then dressed it with 303. I used Mother's leather conditioner on the seats. I wish I had tried the APC on the seats too, but oh well I'll try it with the next car I get.

If anyone has any suggestions on getting rid of the hazing with the SSR please let me know. My Uncle tossed my $50 for doing it so I'll reinvest into some more supplies. Should I just get the SSR2 and 1? Any suggestions on pads to go with it/them?

Yeah, defintely follow up with a lower abbrasive polish (ssr2/1) if you're getting hazing and try using a polishing pad. But overall from that one pic, seems like you did a good job.

What about AIO, I have the same prob and I have AIO and that would be easier than another polish. I haven't had a chance to try it but wanna know if it would work.

I wouldn't bother with SSR1. Doesn't make a noticable difference for what it costs. Just get some SSR2 and work with different pads to change the abrasivness.

Nice job! I would get some SSR2 and use a polishing pad to get rid of the hazing. You could get a 16 ounce bottle of SSR1 too just in case and to try it out
