My experience with Poorboy's Polish + Carnauba

I bought this product hoping to save a little time polishing then waxing. I've used this on about 6 vehicles now, and my feelings for it are 50/50. Everytime I've used it it's been applied with a buffer, I notice that when applied in the sun it doesn't spread too well, meaning I am constantly having to put an 'X' on my buffer for just about every panel, I don't know if that's just the way the product is, or if I shouldn't be using it in the sun or what the deal is. It does seem to get rid of alot of the swirl marks, however I notice that some are still there. On lighter colored vehicles I barely even notice a difference, but when applied to dark vehicles, you can see the true colors of this product. The paint feels smooth to the touch, the clarity is there, and there's a slight gloss.

It buffs off pretty easy where it's applied on thin, I do notice however some streaking. It reminds me of the same kind of streaking I get from cleaning the windows that just will not go away. Maybe I applied to much??? I almost want to rub it out with some force but am afraid I might take more out than I want.

This is not a bad product, it does good on darker vehicles, the depth of gloss is lacking a little bit, I guess you can't have a polish and a wax mixed up and expect to get the best results. But this product can be a time saver, maybe more for the economical kind of jobs, but as far as a high end job is concerned, just get your polish glaze and your wax seperate.

I've been using P-w-C for years. Its really a go to for me.

The product is pad dependent, and really is a very mild polish. If you want to get a tad more correction, use a cutting pad not polishing. The streaking sounds like you've got to much product on the pad, or you are not working it into the paint enough. I work in small areas such as breaking down the hood into 6 small sections. Even if I get some streaking some QD takes care of that.

I use this product where I have customers that aren't looking for 100% correction. I can use this as a starter and then top off with paste wax. I try never to use this in the sun but, you can. You have to work in very small areas, and not let it set on the car for an extending period of time.

Meg's ColorX
Klasse AIO
Zaino ZAIO

Those are just three that I can think of off the top of my head that are excellent AIO's. I'm sure there's a lot more I haven't tried that are just as good, and probably a few I've forgotten about that perform well also.

The majority of the time, at least in my experience, it's generally the process and not the product.
