My detailing Supplies - Check it out

Well, I recently bought an 05 berlina black s2000. I love it, but it has swirls and buffer trails from the dealer. So, I've been reading on here (countless hours and watching videos) and took advantage of AG's sale.

Here are my supplies.

I think I am ready! Also, I have an extra final polish menzerna. I'll put it for sale.



Am I missing anything? I bought a canopy the other day, so I can detail saturday.



I'm really excited. I think I'm going to play with the UDM all night (well, just open the box and put it together).

thanks. I've been reading here and pretty much noting which products have been getting the best reviews.



Hopefully, I get decent and will be able to detail my friends and family's cars.
 
Looks like you got a sweet line up of products and equiptment. Your car should be looking mighty nice when your done. Just take your time and you should be happy with the end result. You will be doing everyone's car when they see yours completed . Good luck !!!!
 
Yea. I really cant wait till I get off of work on firday. I'm going to do the interior and focus saturday on all exterior.

Well, I was under the impresion that for some jobs, IP would be suitable instead of using SIP.



I do not believe i have 106ff. I have 2 bottles of FP because it came with 2 kits that I ordered.
 
Also, is there a use for the pinnacle liquid wax, If i have all this other stuff?

Looks like you are ready to do some nice work.



At least with a rotary, I do not like the ceramiclear polishes (106ff and SIP) on the soft clears (Porsche/Ferrari.) The harder abrasives have a hard to breaking down and like to bite into the paint. This creates allot of heat and will bog down the hitachi and metabo rotaries.



IMO IP and FPII work better on these softer clears.
 
Looks good but you need some more microfibers, just dont waste your money buying more cobras, they are not that high quality and they lint worse than the cheapest microfibers that I only use for wheels!



Go with pakshack or chemical guys microfiber instead.

Where should I apply painters tape? I know the around the windshields and convertible top. However, some threads say that if using a UDM or PC you dont have to tape anything off.
