My car was stolen tonight

oh man! how did it happen, do you know? (as in were you out or at home/etc.)??

hope they get it back for you like the first time (since obviously you got it back before..) :(

Ouch :(

Sorry to hear. Well i'm guessing you reported it to the cops, so thats a first step. Also you could start posting on TEG boards describing your car and situation. I've seen many threads where people on forums help each other find their stolen cars.

That is terrible!! As a fellow GSR owner I can really feel your pain. I hope you find it all in one piece. And I hope that the spineless thief who stole it wakes up one day to find that he has burried up to his neck in the local park and there is a lawnmower heading his way. How dare they steal the mighty GSR?! Cowards...

Came home around 5pm. Parked in the street because guest's car was in the driveway. After they left at 8pm, I go outside to move my car and it's gone. It's equipped with Lojack, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for your support guys.

Thanks, Jngrbrdman. My car isn't even riced out. It's 99% stock...even the crappy Honda stereo. After I got it back the first time, it was never the same again....*sigh*

Aww then you are fine then!

If you have LoJack installed, expect a phone call in the next couple of hours.

Smart on your part !

Aw, that sucks :(

Kinda points out the 2 sides of LoJack:

One one hand: it works, so you get your car back

Other hand:after the thieves abuse your car, do you want it back? Would you be better off with the insurance money?

Good luck

One more thing: if this is the SECOND time your car's been taken, it might make sense to try a more advanced theft system, or deterrent. A deterrent, like the CLUB, can make theives move on to the next car. If they know it's gonna be a hassle, they'll move on.

Or get an advanced system, where only YOUR preogrammed key can be used.

Just trying to help.

So sorry to hear about the loss. I know how it feels... my 944 Turbo was stolen from work. Sickening feeling. :scared

I do agree, you should get a new anti theft system, but a club really wont protect you that much. A club can be by passed in about 30 seconds or less. What i would do is get a hidden cut off switch in the car. This is installed by a local alarm place. The car will not start unless the switch is turned on or off. You can hide it almost anywhere, and it will be around 100.00 to get one installed. Just be sure to get the fuel cut off switch.

us New Yorker's carry the club not to protect the car, but to protect us, screw with a NY'er and watch us get out with the club in our hands ready to take someone's head off.:D

NYD

NYD is right, the club is usless. All you need is a hacksaw and about 20 seconds. Saw the top portion of the steering wheel in half, move club over and remove. Presto, no more club and you car is gone. :(

LoJack is pretty good, but the coverage areas can be spotty at times. I hope everything turns out O.K.

Yeah, Lojack is great unless you drive the car into a dead zone. Then there's no hope.

you live in boston right? what part?

Yeah I live in Brighton. The car was recovered the next day in Lynn. I'm not sure what the damage is yet. The car has an alarm system with starter kill along with the Lojack.
