I think my 6 year old daughter knows more about proper car care than maybe 90% of the public. She knows about the 2 bucket method and grit guard. She sometimes helps me by rinsing my wash mit. We were eating dinner the other day and I asked her how should you wash the car, she said, "you need 2 buckets, one for rinsing and one for dipping"...that's what she calls the one with the soap.
Then yesterday morning, she looked outside and said, "it looks like a good day to wash the car", then she said, "there's lots of shade"...she really caught me offguard with that one. She usually complains when I wash the car, because I may be out there for about 3 hours. She knows that you should not wash the car in direct sunlight.
She even watched a video from showcargarage about proper washing technique.
I wish I had learned that kind of stuff when I was 6...I learned the hard way
