My 1996 Crown Victoria

Mr. Glass

My car isn't the nicest or the newest but I love it anyhow. The car will be painted black in the spring! :) These photos were taken where I work in the early morning.

The car has two coats of Gold Glass applied approximately one year ago or so, I guess its time for another coat. :)

Is that a P71 by any chance?

Yeah, I like the CVs from that era, they were still truly different from the Mercury Marquis. Good visibility with the thin "C" pillars and the extra side glass :xyxthumbs

Heh heh, the plugged "A" pillar was an easy clue.

Well, the paint probably isn't too bad considering the vehicle's (presumed) history. Looks good for what it's been through, even considering the flattering lighting in the pics.

Enjoy having white paint during the upcoming winter...zero maintenance color + knowledge that you're gonna repaint = easiest winter detailing imaginable

Do you *really* want to redo it in black? What color is the interior?

I have a new door with no hole that I will put on when I do the repaint. I am not 100% sure of black, either black or silver. The interior is gray. The paint passes the 20 ft test but fails with 5 and 3 foot test. I have the interior from an LX car that will be swapped in (leather seats, digi dash, auto-climate control, dual 8way power seats, etc) because the p71s are a bit sparse (cloth front buckets, no console, and vinyl rear bench).

I also have 2002 LX Sport wheels and tires for the car. I have driven it for a year looking like a police car and am tired of it.
