Sorry Autopia...no before pictures. Typical swirl marks here and there. This car has a custom black paint job. The paint itself is super soft but the Sonax Perfect Finish worked great on it. Started by cutting with the Yellow Pad and finishing down with the White Pad. I used my Rupes LHR15, Yellow Rupes Cutting Pad, White Rupes Polishing Pad, Sonax Perfect Finish, and sealed it up with 22ple Glass Coating. I spent roughly 10 hours start to finish. Other products used were Meguiar's Shampoo Plus, Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner, Meguiar's Final Inspection, and Meguiar's Glass Cleaner. Thanks for looking! Joshua

Ronkh, I like 22ple but I do not push it that much. I'm more of a traditional guy who likes to wax cars multiple times throughout the year. That being said some of the client's I work with love the coating product so I'll do it for them. The gloss you obtain from 22ple is nice and I find it personally pretty easy to use. All and all I like the product but at the end of the day it's not what I like or want, it's what my client wants. I have had a pretty interesting batch come in the 50ml size and the consistency of the product seemed different from that of the 30ml size. I'm not sure how or why? Shelf life? Conditions the product was stored in before I received it? I thought I was crazy but another guy who has seen me use 22ple before noticed the issue as well. It was super tacky. I ended up getting more product in the 30ml size. I'm going to test this batch in the 50ml on my car this Spring to see what happens. Guinea pig!!

Thanks for the info. I to am a traditionalist. But have ventured into coatings. Some luck, some not so lucky.

Yeah....the profitability on coatings is great. I think it's good to have experience with one coating at least just to have in your arsenal. I've completed 15 22ple applications including the wheels since offering the product back in 2013. As you can tell by that number I love my Collinite Insulator Wax and Black Fire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant! By no means am I a 22ple expert but overall I think the product is nice and does make routine washes a breeze!!

I really like 22ple. I have both the trim and metal coatings on my car and it was a breeze to use both. I haven't tried the paint coating yet but I have a feeling I will eventually. Still sporting OC 2.0 on the my personal car for now.

Heavenly, I haven't seen anyone post about 22ple for a while. Looks as great as I recall seeing it the last time!! Very nice, indeed :) And your wheels/tires are bordering on perfection !!

Coatings FTW !

I was just going to say the same thing. I really haven't seen nearly as much buzz about 22ple as we all saw a few years ago. Glad to see someone who still enjoys it though. Great work!

Thanks guys! I like using a small amount of products and really understanding the capabilities of each. A few years back I had a ridiculous amount of detailing product in my arsenal but really did not know the effectiveness of each product. I heard Kevin Brown on a pod cast talking about how he would only use Meguiar's 205 for an entire month playing with different pad combo's, the amount of product used, adding water to the mix. It got me thinking that I can have all the detail products in the world but that does not mean I'm a skilled detailer and know how to use each one effectively.

So I now have two Husky storage bins with all of my detailing equipment. Not much at all. But I really enjoy having to figure out whats the best way to achieve nice results with what I have. Currently I'm only using Sonax Perfect Finish to perform a majority of my paint correction work. I love it. Especially paired with my Makita Rotary and Rupes LHR15. 22ple is a very nice product and overall my clients are very happy with the results.

From what I've READ, 22ple has a short shelf-life but it's production and sales is limited to counter-act this measure. Also, 22ple spells, "glass" in its mirrored reflection.
