First up, the 300M

Very well kept for and did this customer last year. I was VERY VERY upset to see buffer trailing on the hood. When I left last year, there were none. I guess this is another reason why I don't use Meguiar's polishes anymore :o . Anyways, lots of random scratches from the winter but the swirls weren't too bad. I got about 95% of the stuff out but the hood was VERY pitted, unfortunately. Final processes:

-Optimum Compound via rotary and LC Cutting Pad/Wool Pad @ 1200 rpm

-Final Polish II via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1500 rpm (some VERY light haze left due to the extreme heat...FPII wasn't good enough in the sun and left the pad dry, so....)

-Optimum Polish via rotary and LC Finishing Pad @ 1500 rpm

-Zaino Z5 by hand

-OCW by hand

-Flitz on the wheels (amazing chrome polish BTW!), exhaust, license plate covers, and grille

-Turbo Wax Tire Gel on tires

-Hyper Dressing cut 3:1 in the wells

Onto the Cobra. It belongs to my dad and is a garage queen. No rain or snow for those Potenza S-03's :).

The paint was free of any bonded contaminants but had some light swirling throughout. I was just gonna polish the hood (worst part) and then PwC everything, but I was far too impressed with FPII on this color. So in the end,

-Menzerna Final Polish II via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1500 rpm

-TOL's Trade Secret spit shined with Turbo Wax QD

-Flitz to polish wheels, exhaust, and grille

-Hyper Dressing in wells cut 3:1

-Poorboy's BnB on tires

-Poorboy's TR on trim

Enjoy ;).

Awesome work as usual. :2thumbs: That's a pretty slick radar detector the 300M has (if that's what the thing on the front plate is). Your dad's Cobra looks awesome. This is the first time I've seen it in full sun, and boy does it look sharp!

Very nice job. Both cars are stunning. I like the look of the Turbo Wax tire gel. The flitz polsih is blinding on the chrome. What type of wool pad did you use with the OCP?

I see the apple does not fall very far from the tree Sean. Your Pops has exceptional taste in mods as well...subtle, clean and impeccably done!! :bigups That speedster cover is waaaay trick!

The detailing is exceptional as well...but you already knew that!! ;)

Thanks everyone :).

Porkanbeans: That's EZ-Pass. New England's answer to automatic toll paying.

series1: I agree with you on all counts! I used a no-name wool pad. I plan on picking up a Meguiar's or LC pretty soon.

Mike: I helped him with all the mods :). We wanted to keep it simple, yet set it apart from the crowd. Someone in our town bough the EXACT same one, just a coupe, the same week as my dad. From there on out, they haven't been the same :). The cover isn't a Saleen, but a Kaminari I believe. It covers all of the moldings and give a very monochromatic look.

Thanks again.

Why did I have to see that Cobra. Makes me miss my True Blue Mustang GT :bawling: I love both colors of those cars. Beautiful work as always.

Seriously, the 300 looks incredibly wet! Not quite sure though why you are placing all the blame for rotary trails on Meguiars though. :nixweiss

Can't go wrong with Optimum though. ;)

Another two amazing details for Sean, as usual :2thumbs:

The 3d cobra picture is something unreal :bow

Akele abraço

Maybe he is referring to Meguiars trade secret oils "hiding" evidence of the buffer trails not allowing him to see them :nixweiss

Yep. I also noticed it on my Dad's Cobra. I polished it out with #80 last year. The buffer trails were noticeable now, but not when I first did it. Also had the same situation with a Jag I did too :(. They were all started finished off with #80 and looked perfect before I left.
