Much needed cleanup of my car!!

Well i fully detailed my car about 2 months ago but never really posted. Well i hadnt washed it in about a week and a half which is really long for me to go, so since i had today off, i cleaned it up and took some pics!

Process from a couple months ago:

Wash NXT
Menzerna FPII via black LC finishing pad @ 1500 rpm
FK1 #2180 x 2 ( haze for 20 minutes, remove, reapply) on windows too
FK1 Pink Wax x 2 (apply, remove, apply, remove)
FK1 #425 QD wipedown

So today it was looking pretty bad so I got the heaters going in the garage, and hooked up the foam gun. I used the foam gun at 256:1 ( I think ) loaded with hi temp bubbling suds wash. I sprayed down the wheels really well and the wells, and sprayed off all the salt.

Process:

-Foam gun presoak all over car including wheels and wheel wells, underbody. Hi Temp bubbling suds wash

-QEW (2 buckets, 4 mitts) blot dry with 2 PB's WW's
-FK1 #425 on windows and paint
-FK1 top kote dressing on wheels
-#425 on wheels
-automagic dressing (not sure which one) diluted 1:1 in wheels

PICS!

Looks good. Now debadge that thing. :D

As soon as i install the folger can and huge aluminum spoiler. haha Im trying to be a rebel and drive stock.

I understand debadging might "smooth" out the look of the car.

Don't forget the unpainted body kit with huge gaps that's hung on with bread ties.

:stuart:

Greg your cavalier is one of the cleanest i've seen. You ever think of having your door handles and mirrors painted to match? That would great with the body kit and folgers can. :lmfao

I cant say the thought has ever crossed my mind haha.

Hey TD - how long do you think that avitar will last around here? :)

What a shame I sent him a Ginsu Axe...it never needs sharpening

Back on topic:
Greg the car looks great, when you say you do the wheels are you referring to the hubcap or the steelies themselves, because I hate pulling mine on and off.

Nice look to a red car. I bet that 425 went on real easy!

To bad about the weather. But you must feel good knowing that you have taken the time to protect it. There is one picture that looks like the slush is coming right out of the paint.

strictly the cover. I rarely pull off the hub to clean. I really should though haha.

Not too shabby looking. Is that the same cavalier you wanted to turn into a race car for less than $200 awhile back? I just remember one of your first posts on Autopia was on how to turn up the HP on your automatic cavi for less than $200 bucks or something like that. Sorry, man.. I gotta give you a hard time about that once in awhile. I'm glad that you decided not to rice it out and focused on making it clean instead. Very good choice. I think it would look good if you took those rear badges off though. I've seen debadged cavilers and they look really sharp.

Looks great Greg! This city nastiness on top of all the snow and slop, combined with my lack of time and proper place to clean is starting to get me bumbed. My ride is looking pretty shabby. As always though you seem to be gleaming.
