mShu7 Detail: 2003 Chevy Venture

Hey all, this is my sister’s van that I detailed over the weekend. Since it belongs to my sis, I did this as an act of generosity. In return she is going to spread the word about my detailing business to her fellow teachers at school.

Being a single mom with two young teenagers & a dog, the van gets no love! Anything that could be found in a mini-van that hauls around kids was found; pop spills, candy in the carpet, make-up on the seats, fingerprints all over the glass, dog hair all over, etc. I definitely had my work cut out for me.

Exterior:

Meg’s NXT & 4 oz. DP Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner

2-bucket method / Grit Guard

White/Yellow Schmitt

DP Cleanse-All is one of my favorite products. It's so universal; I can add it to my wash or use it cut 1:1 on any part of the exterior. I recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried it.

Tires, Wheels, & Wheel wells cleaned w/Meg's APC+ & DP Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner

Tar & Bug's cleaned with Poorboy's Bug Squash diluted 1:1

This is the first time I've used Bug Squash. It really loosened up the abundance of crap along the bottom of the van, even with it cut 1:1. After I let it soak for a couple of minutes, I sprayed it with my pressure washer and everything came off easily.

Clay w/Meg's Smooth Surface Clay Kit

I prefer the Clay Magic kit, but I was out & this is all I had at the time.

Polish w/Meg's #80

(Applied by PC at speed #5 & Edge 2K Orange Light Cutting Pad)

Protect w/Poorboy's EX Sealant w/Carnauba

(Applied by PC at speed #3 & Edge 2K White Ultra-smooth Polishing Pad)

PB EX w/Carnauba is another product that I love. It's so easy to apply & remove. Since it's a sealant & carnauba in one, it combines the durability of a sealant and the look of a carnauba.

Glass cleaned w/Meg's NXT Glass Cleaner

Trim shined w/Aerospace 303 Protectant

Tires & wheel wells protected w/Meg's Insane Shine Aerosol Protectant

Interior:

Carpets swept w/Rigid Vac

Carpets & floor mats shampooed w/DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

After lightly spraying the floor mats with DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, I used my pressure washer to rinse away all of the dirt & stains.

Spots treated w/Meg’s Quik Out Carpet Stain Remover

This is a new product from Meg’s for ’07. It was the first chance I had to test it out. It quickly earned a spot in my arsenal. Stains were no match for it. Great product!

Plastics cleaned & protected w/DP Total Interior Cleaner (diluted 1:1) & Interior Surface Protectant

This was my first time using these two products and they are now an asset to my product line-up. The bucket of water you see in the picture below was just from cleaning the plastics w/the DP Interior Cleaner (cut 1:1). The protectant leaves a nice, non-greasy finish.

Damn dawg, I may would even drive that mini-van. Ehh, on second thought, maybe not. But its still super clean no though

Very noticable improvement! :)

Honestly though, for a soccer mom minivan, that wasn't in bad shape to start with. The ones I detail always begin with hauling out 3-4 plastic grocery bags of old food, dirty diapers, juice packets, etc. :nervous2:

Thanks guys!

Scottwax, sounds like you've worked on some real doozies. Before I took those pictures, I filled up a pretty good size box of misc. crap so it was a little worse than what the pics show.

Again, thanks!
