Came across this today. Have any of you used the new version or do we all have to wait until it comes out to review? I personally have had great results on my 02 Black Chevy Avalanche. What do you guys think? My only problem with the original is that it didn't have enough spray power but I guess they fixed that with this newer version.

The regular version works okay but the sprayer unit seems cheap and the filtered water tends to leak a bit out of the bottom of the unit. Plus you don't have anywhere to put your wash pad and wheel brushes. For me, it works best when I put the soap into a bucket and wash regularly that way, then rinse with high pressure then with the spot free rinse.

Unless the leakage problem is recitfied, I can't see getting another unit.

I have the older version that I bought mainly for the filtered rinse (I don't care for the soap), but to be honest I haven't used it more that 3 or 4 times. Perhaps I'll try it again when it gets hot so I don't have to be in such a rush to dry a dark vehicle.

I may be wrong, but the impression I get about the new version is it's the regular rinse that is stronger, not the filtered rinse. I thought the regular rinse was OK, but the filtered rinse is a bit on the weak side.

That is the reason I bought one. I have two customers who want me to use a hose and wash their cars conventionally. One has deionized reverse osmosis filters, the other doesn't and all he has is black vehicles. The Mr. Clean system buys me some time so even on sunny days, I can wash it and have time to get it to the garage to finish drying without water spotting.

I much prefer QEW but for this customer, Mr. Clean helps me out.

Hello!

Old thread, I know, but just avaiable since a couple of days here....

What do you think about the shampoo? Indeed, it must be so chemical, I am afraid of the result on a car which has been previously (lovely...) waxed.....

I actually found the soap pretty harsh. I know that they said it does not remove wax, but on my cars they seem to loose a lot of slickness after I used it. I like many just use the filter water to prevent spotting from hot days.

I bought one a year ago. There was no doubt about it....took all of a five day old 2X layer of hand rubbed wax off the car in short order. No wax...no beading.....everything was gone. Had to wax from scratch all over again.

I've found that even the ionised rinse has not lived up to the hype. Removing the nozzle from the hose and using it at quarter pressure does more as a final rinse than any 'ionizing' done by this gadget.

My estimation was that this thing fulfilled its' intended purpose the moment I paid for it.

Now, I keep it around only as the soap serves well as a presoak for cleaning wheelwells.

Can you use your own soap with this?? Does the soap it comes with have anything to do with the spot free rinse or is it just the final rinse that gives helps with the spotting?
