The soap is fine. I use it on a regular's vehicles (all black) since he prefers I use a hose instead of QEW. His partner has a water deionizer at his house and office, but not this guy. I just use it as directed, then pull the vehicles into the garage, blow the water out of the crevices and dry. I use the spot free advantage of the Mr. Clean to buy me some time to get the cars into the garage and the seams blown out without much of the water drying and spotting like the regular hose water does.
BTW, I use #16 on the CL500, NXT on the ML430 and EX on the Excursion. I haven't noticed an adverse affect on durability using the Mr. Clean soap. Remember, the soap is designed to make the rinse water sheet. Next time the vehicle gets wet, it beads normally.
