i've been reading some of the posts related to this issue. and they cover spot treatment on the carpet side very well but i haven't found how to treat the insulation side with much detail.

I have all the carpet out of the car. i need something i can spray on and let air out will folex do this for me?

I also have the bottom of a seat to treat foam so similar to the insulation.

Thanks for reading

IMO replacement of the insulation would be what I would do..its cheaper...that stuff is like a sponge so letting it dry out I wonder if the smell will come out...for the seats if its real bad I would remove the cushions but if not then put them in the open air to dry...the folex is a great product to help.

Beemerboy thanks for reading and i like the story of you telling your wife at dinner that you learned about cat urine. Great post.

i though about that the floor is made up of carpet then a rubber layer then insulation, i could pull off all the insulation and put dynamat in it's place or nothing at all. I also thought about cutting the foam out of the bottom of the seat its just one rear seat and it's a trans am so nobody will be sitting there anyway. I have already scrubbed the body and it seems the smell is out of the car now. but i fear putting the carpet back in will bring the smell back the smell. The mouse thing is a one time deal i will not be storing the car away from my house again.
