Mother's Spray Wax - 1st time use

Originally, I went to the parts store to pick up some Meguiars Gold Class Spray wax, but they were out, so I picked up some Mother's California Gold instead.

I washed and dried the car, I could have used the CG as a drying aid, but I chose not to as I wanted to see how well it worked as a booster type product. After drying the car, I used the damp (but clean) mf to apply the CG. Following the directions, I misted the spray wax onto the surface of the car and spread it with the damp cloth and buffing the residue with a clean dry mf cloth.

I went panel by panel, the whole car taking me about 30 minutes (I admit, I could have done it quicker, but I like taking my time). The very first thing I noticed was the smell. It was great, a very pleasant sweet smell that was easy on the nose. The next thing that really surprised me, was how slick the spray wax was while being wiped off with the microfiber. Normally a microfiber cloth is a bit grabby (as compared to terry cloth) when buffing off a wax, but the CG was amazingly slick.

The car currently has a few recent coats of Collinite 845, so the look of the car didn't change much, but it did have a nice sheen to it once I was done.

All in all, very little product was used to cover the whole car, which means the bottle should last me a good while. Like I said, I was really impressed with the smell, ease of use and the slickness imparted to the finish. I can see myself using the Mothers California Gold Spray Wax for a good while.

It's the Spray Wax i currently use , love the smell and how easy it is to apply. I did an AIO polish on one of my cars a few months ago, used Prima Hydro the first few washes after, then switched to the Mothers Spray Wax and the car still feels slick and beads pretty decently. The bottle does last a while, i like to use it on door jambs too after a good wash. It's one of the few OTC products i plan on buying again to keep in handy.

I have a bottle and still have little bit left that I have been using for years. It's one of those products that tends to get pushed to the back of the detailing shelf. It doesn't seem to get alot of discussion as many of the other spray waxes but it works great and is available OTC.
