I'd like to see the "pre" and "post" lucnh details ! :lol

Excellent work....that reflection of the house shot on the door is amazing.

Great job, Sean :xyxthumbs

Looks like you were able to buff out that swirl that looked like a ribbon on the Allroad ;)

What is that deformed thing in place of the front bumper on the LR3 ?

The EO Wheel acid cut 50/50 does a great job on my coated wheels. You can literally see the brake dust and grime just melt away. I have had no staining what so ever from it. Spray on let sit for 10 seconds or so and spray off--->clean wheels. you may have to do some agitation with a brush but nothing like using a "normal" wheel cleaner.

a little OT,

but which EO product is considered "wheel acid"? I don't see something of that name in their lineup, but they've got chrome wheel cleaner, mag wheel cleaner, etc... Thanks!

if you go to sparkle auto .com you can find it it's under thier pro line.

PS sean I've found a use for my freebie I'm getting the jeep back.

From the description on Sparkle

"Acid based not intended to be used on painted surfaces, clear coated/decorative wheels or windows. Can be diluted to meet customers needs."

Sounds like not for clearcoated wheels to me.

Based on the tips here, I just went out and used FPII, per GSR's advice, and used the FPII at 1500 rpms. WOW, no holograms, no nothing!

I just got done pulling my car back into the garage after checking it out. My car is black and nary a mar in the finish. I will post pics on another thread later.

I used FP with the PC and wasn't that impressed as it didn't break down. I used it with the rotary and like alot. Now, have FPII and with the rotary, it is simply amazing.

GSR, I see you decided to order FPII instead of the ceramiclear PO85D. Did you not see a big enough difference to justify the cost?

Thanks,

Sam

Yes I know they are not all the way clean (insides) but I only had a few minutes to play today :(

As far as the acid goes, I was planning on writing up a wheel cleaning article very soon describing it all, so stay tuned :D. You can pick it up from Amazon.com, more specifically Sparkle Auto, LLC

animes: The client did that in the past :)...I did my standard APC everything, then protect. I totally forgot to take pics, sorry.

kartoon: It's a winch cover.

Sam: After matching the two up, I couldn't see spending DOUBLE for PO85RD. The results are soo minimal between the two.

i think laura croft is asking to have her defender 90 back. :p

awesome details sean! :bow i'm sure you'll enjoy the wines too!

Some great details Sean. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for your recent detail posts. Each thread is a constant resource of techniques, new products to try, and awe-inspiring results that blow me away. All the details this time were great, but that LR3 was a sweet transformation. Obviously FMJ looks killer on dark colors and red after seeing this one and your car with it. If I ever have enough money set toward buying a bottle, I'll definitely buy it.

:bow Such excellent work! Not that I expect anything less out of you Sean. You continue to impress me not only with the quality of the work but your creative combinations and techniques. You should seriously consider a full time career in detailing. :)

DITTO's!!! :bow

Amazing, just amazing.

Love that LR3. Did the reflection in that last photo cause any marring (LOL)?
