More Waffle Weaves Please....

I was at Bed, Bath, and Beyond today and found something interesting in their kitchen area. It is a 16" X 18" Waffle Weave Microfiber towel with what feels like foam inside. It also has nice edges on it. It is listed as a "dish drying mat", but looks like would be great for drying your car as long as it passes a scratch test. It is $5 by me. Don't know if anyone has tried it but at least it is something to take a look at if you are ever in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Who knows, maybe this will be the next "grout sponge" :p

Ha. My wife bought some of those too. Made by the same guys as Viking. They also make the Mothers version that I use like and use. The BB&B feel softer but have not tried them on paint. The price is really good if they were equal.

I love the Mother's drying towel. I paid a lot more than $5 for it too...

I'm waiting for a scratch test.

I stopped by and checked out the towel. Looks good, but it does not feel that soft with the huge foam core in the towel. Also, it looked like would lint alot, well, I saw alot of loose strands that would look like it would cause lint on the paint and your other towels if you washed them together.

Let us know about the cd test findings.

I have a Cobra Guzzler HD drying towel with a foam core. It works well but as it starts getting full you have to be careful not to put pressure on it because the water will come out of the core. But since I've been flushing the car it doesn't get that full.
