More tips for a good website

Here are some additional tips to consider regarding your website:

1. Don't be Fooled by the $20 Gold Rolex Watch

The old saying is true, "you have to spend money to make money. That is not to say you have to take out a bank loan to develop a top quality website, but you need to do some researchy. Look at our competition, you want your site to be at least as good or better than theirs.

2. Bad Spellers of the World UNITE!!!

It might be a small thing, but having the correct spelling and grammer in the text of your website is very important. An error in spelling or grammar sends up a red flag to customers. It suggest a lack of concern to detail and a lack of intelligence.

Think of it this way. Have you ever been in the dirty, stinky restroom of a resturant? Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like doesn't it. Point made.

Have someone carefully read and reread the copy for your site. Do not allow your website to be a joke.

When a potential customer visits your website it is like they are visiting you and your place of business, you must make a good impression.

3. Who Are You?

Your brand must come through loud and clear. Present your logo and your identifiable colors should be presented.

Customers must be able to identify you.

For example, if the colors on your building are blue and white, why is your website, green and yellow?

Make sure your website content is presented from a consumer's point of view. Don't talk to the customer in "detailize" talk in terms they can understand.

And, do not say too much. The customer is only looking for a clean car from a dependable and reliable place of business. Don't overwhelm them with information they don't understand and are not particularly interested in anyway.

4. Have an Objective

What is the objective of your website? In the detail business it should be to get a customer to call you. Will your website get a customer to call? Is your cell number or office number readily available for them to call? What about your email, if they choose to communicate electronically?

Just some simple things to consider.
