Ok...

I'm still a little confused about which pads I should order and where I should order them from--here is my situiation: 04 BLK Denali, Garage Kept, I'm planing on using the Klassie All in One along w/ Poorboy's SSR1 and 2.

So which pads should I order and where should I order them from? What about the quick disconnect and all of that? Does the PC come w/ everything except the pads?

Edit: ok whoa... i just found out that there are these velcro backing pads that can be used instead of what comes on it... becaue the one that comes w/ it is expensive... where do i get these and which ones?

thanks guys!

My suggestion would be to try to order everything you want from the same vendor, this way you save in shipping. What pads you use depend on the situation. There is no formula for pad+product selection, it must be evaluated by the detailer. Also remember to use the least aggressive pad/product and if it doesn't work your way up. I'd reccomend depending on the swirls to use SSR1 with a polishing pad. If you are happy with the results and the swirl remove then you can go onto to AIO. If you feel it hasn't worked then try the SSR2 with a polishing pad, then again if it doesnt work maybe try with a cutting pad and so forth. AIO I think is used with either a polishing pad or finishing pad. AIO should be used after the SSRs to ensure a clean surface for your wax.

jstuckey,

It looks like you are trying to figure out which brand to use? If this is the case, it's pretty simple. There are a couple of manufacturers out there that may good pads. Right now I use the Lake Country Concaved Cutting pad for heavy swirls and clean up. For polishing I use the Meguiar's Polishing pad. And I don't use this often, but for a finishing pad I use the Lake Country Gray Pad.

As for product selection, I would dump the AIO. It really is only a cleaner, but I have not seen it brighten up the paint or make it look any better. I would say go with a light abrasive polish instead.

As far as pad and product, the above poster hit the nail on the head. Try a polishing pad and let the product do the work for you. If the swirls or whatever you are trying to remove will not go away with a polishing pad, step up to a more aggressive pad! It all depends on the swirls. If you can keep up with it over the months and not let them get out of hand, you may never need SSR2!

What do you plan to use as a Sealant, and topper wax?

My recommendation:
--SSR 2 Via Polishing Pad (Cutting pad if needed, try SSR1 first)
--SSR 1 Via Polishing Pad (If the wirls are not bad try this first)
--Menzerna Final Polish II, Poorboy's PwC (After one of the SSR's are used)
--Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, Poorboy's EX, 4* UPP
--Souveran, Natty's, #16

You will want to start with the 5" backing plate with the 6.5" pads. Any of the backing plate on the sites will work fine. I use the Sonus one, that was the first kit I bought!!
