Here is the 2004 Escalade I detailed last week, using Klasse AIO and Platinum's UPP both in the sun and shade.

I don't always detail high end cars. How about a Taurus? Can't get much more pedestrian than that!

I used Vanilla Moose and a pure sealant version of Poorboy's EX:

I used Meguiars Swirl Free Polish #82 twice, Vanilla Moose and the pure sealant version of EX on this ML320:

This S420 just needed a quick wax. It sits outside all the time since his garage is full of motorcycle stuff. I thought it would be a good durability test for the pure sealant version of EX. I didn't polish it since the paint is still in great shape from the last two times I polished/waxed it.

Wow, great cars. How are you liking the Poorboy's EX pure sealant version? Better/worse than the original?

It seems very similar to me, even smells almost the same. I think the goal with this product is going to be added durability.

Very Nice Scott as always :D.

Now that Escalade was the one you were talking about how much you liked the AIO+UPP combo right? I see the color change to it, but any closeups to showoff the pearl?

John Styrnol-no, the color is pearl. Not sure of the exact name that Cadillac calls it, but it's a pearl.

Gadfly-it's EX without any carnauba.

GSRstilez-it was 34 degrees with a 20 mph north wind. 2 pics was about all I could stand after working all day. ;) I'll try to get some the next time I clean it.

It's called Diamond White. It has a lot of pearl. As you can see, it almost looks like a cream at certain angles. Very hard to match though :( . My dad has it on his CTS.

I resent that Taurus remark :p

At least mine stands out a little more than the average one ;)

As always, beautiful work! :bow

So you don't think the pure sealant version of the EX changes the look all that much Scott? How about swirl hiding ability (not that this is an issue for you lol). It can still be applied over polishes like VM, GEPC or PwC?

Great work as always!

There! Fixed it for you! :lol

I would have said the same about a Camry. ;)

I had too much going on when I typed that :o

Yeah, Taurii are plentiful, but I like it for a family hauler daily driver :)

I've used it over VM and PwC with no problems, so I would guess you could also use GEPC if you wanted. I think the look is pretty much the same, still has a wet look even without any carnauba in it. EX pure sealant seems to have some filling ability, about the same as most convetional waxes do, and more so than a sealant like SG.

I used it today on a white Excursion and it was dark when I had completely finished (but I took pics while I still had light) and down the side, it looked like a freaking mirror on the side not lit up by the house lights. I thought about taking a pic, but using flash would have ruined it and I doubt I could have held the camera steady enough so it wouldn't blur with a long exposure. Take my word for it though, it looked hella cool and even my customer commented on it!

Poorboy, where are you??

Here I am Ray:D

First I'd like to say thanks to Scott for giving us view from a Professionals point of view. Real world applications on other peoples vehicles, gives us a great objective look at the products.

EX II is right now in its exploration phase for our product line. Many people had questioned the durability of a sealant that contained wax, even just a little  so we wanted to see what it would be like without the wax. As Scott said, it looks about the same in substance, I think it's a little thinner and even easier to spead thin. I have seen early testing of increased slickness slightly, and just a little bit more reflective as Scott seemed to say about his last detail without pictures.

Gadfly, I doubt the little bit of wax we removed will influence the price, but we'll have to see;)

Thanks again Scott and you do get some nice vehicles to EXperiment on:xyxthumbs

Steve, I'm curious if EX II contains any oils. Now that EX II has no more carnauba, what is it made of? I think it would help if you could get your "chemist" on this board so that he can clarify any product makeup questions. Just a suggestion..

Thanks!

Scott,

Great work as always:xyxthumbs I enjoy seeing your work and always am amazed but seeing it also chaps my hide:angry as I have not had a chance to take any photos of cars, nor even finish that jacked up Mercedes, due to the weather down here. It has been either overcast and foggy or cold and wet.

Oh well, enough of the pity party:( I am sure the weather will clear and allow for some good picture taking. Carry on!

Anthony
