Mopar Paint Sealer Question????????

I work for a Dodge dealer as a salesman and I detail in my free time(Almost none)

We sell a paint sealer made by ???? but it's in a mopar bottle, maybe we make it ???/

Anyways we garantee this stuff for life if you re-apply it every 3 years. 100% garantee on paint fad and wear. EVERY 3 YEARS you re-apply. Can this stuff last this long. A guy I work with has a Inka gold PT Cruiser and he put this stuff on in the begining of 2001 and his car still looks awsome, and he only washes it with a brush and dry's with a chamy. I get this stuff at cost so it's cheap for me.

i am wondering if this stuff is good to use for my customers as a selling tool. My regualrs I would not because if I fix em up for three years they won't need me anymore. They have to come see me after 3-4 months with wax.

But if I'm doing work for a used car dealer where the car is going to see sit for a while in the elements I think they would be impressed that even after sitting for more than a year with a quick wash the cars will still shine bright.

Like I said I have seen it applied to alot of cars at work and it REALLY makes em shine. The dark colours looks awsome,

Anyways I just wanted to know if any of you pro's had any feed back for me on this subject

Thanks, and sorry for the spelling

The product you are more than likely referring to is the Master Shield paint sealant which is private labelled for Daimler Chrysler by Valugard/Automotive International. The paint sealant is of high quality but there are several factors involved in deciding who should buy it. The paint sealant WILL NOT last for more than 6-12 months at best from all technical data I have seen and must be re-applied yearly to maintain protection for the paint. This product also carries a warranty which will cover environmental damage to the paint within the specified warranty period (granted the vehicle owner ever files a claim should one arise - most never will). That said, there is a profound difference between your vehicles paint being protected and looking good. Depending on several factors including vehicle usage, how it is stored, how often it is washed, environmental conditions will determine how much wear and tear your paint will accrue over time and require maintainence. I personally do not endorse the use of these warranty products because they do not address the wear and tear factor and the correction of the paint as wear and tear takes its toll on a vehicles finish. Most vehicles will need to be polished 2-4 times a year and the protection re-applied to correct problems and keep the vehicle looking good so the longevity factor with the paint sealant is a moot point in opinion. I hope this helps.

Yes it is the matersheild stuff. 6-12 months (conditions pending) is not to bad. It does not look like wax when applied though , it's sort of fake looking but i like it. The guys that install it are just guys with no training involved. When I watch them put it on I'm like oh boy. Not even close to following what the bottle says. Maybe thsts a factor also.

Who knows??

Chances are I would never use the stuff but it was worth finding out about.

Thanks Alot, I appreciate it
