Modified X5 4.6IS Estrol Blue

Hi guys!!

Here is one fine machine I did over the weekend for a customer who I did his Monaco blue 330IX. This M badged X5 has the 4.6 and also has the AC Schnitzer wheels and a bunch of Dinon parts. The rumble of the engine sounded nice and the paint was in excellent shape other than some normal holograms. He has always maintaned it very well (way above average) and he had plenty coats of Zaino on it. Washing it was a breeze and nothing was stuck to it at all. I wish all my cars were treated like this. The soap was falling off the car faster than I could wash it. This thing was beyond SLICK!

If a normal detailer had seen this he would of never touched it cause it was extremely shiny and the holograms were very minor and could be seen at certain angles or under halogens. I had to remove the 20 coats of Zaino (very impressive looking and feeling) and to make it look better than it did when it arrived. I guess that is why he chose me:grinno: I have done this a couple times before.:waxing:

Well I faught with this one, while they were normal holograms, the paint was like kevlar and took forever for them to come out.

Wash - Z7 soap

All work was done via rotary

SIP 3.02- yellow pad (the contours and hood)

SIP 3.02- orange pad (whole truck)

106ff - polish pad for 6 hours straight

ZAIO - via pc on a black lc pad #3 and let dry for hours(this gave a nice rock hard shell and a very wet look)

Z5 x2 (zfx)

Z-CS

This guy now has the best looking beemers around bar none! My brother thought it was a custom repaint and could not believe how intense it looked. The pics are off balance so bad, but you get the idea.

Thanks for looking!:woot:

Love the color, love the vehicle, but best of all....love the detail!!!! Great work. That is certainly my favorite color on that vehicle!

Thanks Chris!

Yes I love this color so much too and is very rare. It's only available on the 4.6 too.

Pics do this color NO justice at all. Watching him drive up the road was insane looking.

Oh and the sound system was all custom and all fabricated into the truck.

Wow Ryan, that paint looks *alive* on the first shot. 6 hours with 106FF?!?!? that must have been some paintjob.

I wanted to make sure it was way up on the gloss. 106 really works forever and gets better as it is finessed. He takes this to a lot of shows, but uses it as a daily driver also. It is in above excellent shape for a daily driver. He wipes it down almost daily with z6 and z8. He takes his cars very serious.

Amazing truck! Great work, that paint looks incredible!

He could do without the M badge though, we all know that didn't happen at the factory! :nervous:

You don't see rotary work any better than that! That's one hell of a job Ryan.

I try very hard John. Now I just wish I could get a rotary to keep up with me:hairpull

My newer Hitachi has smoked gears and now it will stay running on it's own and not shut off, my Metabo is shutting down often and going into limp mode cause I am working the heck out of it. It's the Menzerna products that are causing this to happen and the fact that I never take a break. I know my hands are glowing bright red after from the hot body of the machine. It is only a month old too. I am getting use to the Metabo feel wise now and now the Hitachi feels wierd holding.

I need a rotary made out of kevlar and turbo fans just specially built for me. :buffing: maybe even have Rydawg engraved into it also:chuckle:

Would you like to give my Dewalt 849 a run?

No way in hell are you going to bog it down. It's a monster.

I'd call Metabo about the shutting down issue. I've warmed mine up, but it's never shut down. That's BS for a $300+ tool.
