www.mapquest.com

Usually I ask for directions or some kind of land mark. If they give me a good address then I'll just go to MapQuest and print the turn by turn directions.

I have to agree with Jngrbrdman. Mapquest is a wonderful tool that I use almost daily, the only problem with it, is that it likes to throw you on the Freeway even when you don't need to, at least it used to do this a lot. But you're on an island right? So I don't forsee that being much of an issue for you :D

Mapquest is right about 90% of the time. I hate getting lost, in fact, I like it about as much as a banana and sardine hogie, so I bought the Garmin 2620 which is a dream since I am switching in between all my cars.

My 2 cents; I prefer to use maps.yahoo.com (as opposed to mapq., it's messed me up a few times) but if I am called while out and about, I will take their address and look it up in my Thomas Guide for SB county.

I use the local street guides (for the different counties nearby). Ask customer for address +zip, just in case too many streets with similar name. Also I used to be a cab driver so I don't get lost.

:drool GPS! Wish I had it. Mapquest works well, but you have to understand general areas also. I suggest leaving alot earlier to make sure your on time for first impression.
