I would never suggest that you get ricey blue bulbs that actually decrease your ability to see the roads. But not ever bulb with blue glass on it is going to produce bright blue light.
I had an issue with the bulb on my motorcycle not being bright enough, so I went on ebay in search of some Sylvania Silverstars or Phillips Vision Plus bulbs, both of which have been awesome bulbs in the past. In process of looking for those bulbs I found a guy selling bulbs that he said were whiter and longer lasting than the competition. In fact, he even guaranteed it with a warranty if the bulbs failed and I was disappointed. Silverstars disappoint people all the time and they don't offer any kind of warranty, so I figured I'd give the guy a shot. I ordered a set of bulbs for my Pilot and a set for my bike. The bike only needed one, so I put the spare in the glovebox of the Pilot in case I needed it on the road sometime.
When the bulbs came they looked exactly as advertised. They were definitely not cheap looking and they appeared to be of good quality. The proof was going to be in the light output though. MAN! What a difference these things make!! The light is bright white and very HID-esque. I can't do HIDs in my Pilot because of the reflector housings, but after getting these bulbs I no longer even desire to contemplate a conversion. The put out just the right kind of light for what I need it for. And from a distance they aren't blue at all. They are bright white and very very effective at lighting up the road. I've never been flashed once with them.
On the bike they worked out terrific. The stock bulb was barely able to light the road, but this one was just amazing. I recently sold that bike and bought something else. The first thing on my list of changes was to get a set of these bulbs for it. I mistakenly ordered another set of H4s instead of H7s, so it took longer than expected to get the change made. Today I got them put in and the difference is incredible. I'll have to post light output in the dark pictures later, but here is a comparison just in the housing.
I wouldn't ever promote something I didn't believe in, and I believe in these bulbs. I've had them in my Pilot for two or three months now without a single problem. I don't really expect problems either. They just seem to be really high quality bulbs.
This is the ebay seller that I bought them from. I give him nothing but top marks for a fantastic product when it comes to bulbs. I've used Silverstars and Vision Plus bulbs for many years and these are every bit as good. If you are looking for new bulbs and feel like experimenting, then these are definitely bulbs to try out. :10:
