mmmm.... Wolfgang!

This was a fun car to do. It is the first detail of the year, so I had to resist breaking a bottle of champagne on the fender or something like that. ;) It was a simple wash, clay, XMT2, and Wolfgang sealant car. There wasn't anything that really stood out as extra damage on this car. No ridiculous overspray or excessive damage due to neglect or anything like that. It is always a pleasure to detail a car owned by someone who knows how to take care of it. The owner actually works for RallySportDirect.com, so hopefully it will make a positive impression and mean more Subarus this year. :)

I will hand it to Subaru designers... They know how to build the curves just right so that you really get some great looks when it is polished up right. Next to Porsche I don't know another car that bends the light and looks as good as Subaru to my taste. Everything else is either too rounded or too square to bend like this. Subaru adds bends in the middle of curves and it really throws light well. The hood scoops don't hurt either. I prefer the ones on the Legacy, but they definitely add a lot.

I finally got the spring cleaning done on the van and my car today. The van got Wolfgang. :)

It was pretty swirled up. Nothing a little XMT2 couldn't handle. I probably could have spent more time on it, but I was trying to do this and my car before it got much colder, so I stopped when I was satisfied that it was a lot better.

Not too bad considering it is a repainted panel. The hood and fender have been repainted at some point in the past and the paint is pretty darn hard to get clear. The rest of the paint is a piece of cake, but those areas just require a little more effort than I had time for today.
