Mixing products, polishes???

Searched and didn't find what I was looking for. I always see 50/50 combo of Optimum Polish and Compound for example. I have op and oc, how exactly do I get a 50/50 mix? Just mix together in a bowl or something? Put a couple dabs on a pad of each product together and then polish?

If you have a little squeeze bottle (travel cosmetic/toiletry bottle from WalMart, Target, etc.) you can pretty easily pour/squirt a 50/50 mix in there and shake.

Cool, guess i'll have to grab some small bottles. Basically just pour an equal amount of each product into the bottle and put on the pad like normal?
