mixing leather products?

I usually put my leather clnr/cond. in a small spray bottle. I used up the last in my bottle and was wondering if it would be alright to just add additional cleaner/condition of a different brand to the spray bottle instead of cleaning the bottle first.

Now i know it would be best to clean the bottle but if it wouldn't matter i'd rather not bother with.

what do you think?

You know what mom or dad always said about mixing chemicals, right? While I do not think mixing a faint amount of leather conditioner with a large quantity of another would pose any problems, it only takes a minute to quickly rinse out the bottle and sprayer.

Obviously not yet an Autopian perfectionist...

FWIW- I think you may be asking the wrong type of people a question like this...

sorry. I thought it was a legitimate question:nixweiss

with so many folks who love their products and also like to experiment with different things i thought maybe it was done before. Maybe not an Autopian perfectionist but the reason for the thread was bacause i thought i would be so consumed with making sure i got all the previous product out of the bottle, hose, sprayer tip etc. that it just seemed like to much work at the time.

I did finally clean out the bottle(took like 5 minutes) and I feel right with the world again.

Carry on.
