Evenin' everyone,

Had a lot of fun on this detail, great paint to work with and probably my favorite so far.

The morning started off rough. Last night I went drinking and drank way too much Paulaner. Two pitchers did me in. I fell asleep in South Austin somewhere and woke up at 4:15am with my clothes on. Drove home, slept for a little bit longer and woke up at 7am to start detailing. I was still drunk, and the smell of the Menzerna made me want to throw up. Fun times.

Hats off to PO85RD here, used it for the first time and absolutely blown away with it. Just see the pics and you'll understand.

Method:

1) Foam w/ Citrus Wash

2) Wash w/ Citrus Wash & ShMITT

3) Dry with Absorber and Guzzler

4) Washed wheels with Simple Green/Citrus Wash

5) Front end sprayed with Bug Squash

6) PO85RD on CCS White Pad with PC on 6

7) CG EZ Creme Glaze on CCS Gray with with PC on 3

8) Jetseal 109 by hand on Megs Gold Class foam pad

9) Poorboys Natural Look on tires

10) Interior just a quick Folex carpet clean and vacuum, removed a few scuffs...

Enjoy the pics! :D

OK, it's 7am and I'm still drunk. Not feeling so hot right now. Looks chilly, but the temperature was perfect!

Looks OK from a few feet away, just a little dirty.

Interior was in nice shape, just dusty and a few plastic scuffs...

We had a stupid garage sale in our gated community, so there were tons of gawkers. I put the car inside after washing and partially shut the garage door.

I wanted to see if I could do this entire car with PO85RD and get rid of 90% of the swirls!

HERE IS THE PROOF! And look how little dusting, this stuff is amazing!!!

About 4.5 hours later, here are the results!

Two things I was missing: a good metal polish for the exhaust tips, I didn't have anything! And some of Adam's Undercarriage Spray. For the rest, this was a great detail!

:buffing:

Great work, deep and wet. Those G35s look great in black.

Looks nice and warm to me! I live in Michigan.

Use some NXT all metal polish on the tips. Thats what I put on my G35. Also I remeber when my friend got drunk. We got him nake with this other guy(Also drunk) in the backseat. Then I bought him to a girls house I knew and she shave his head, looking bald on the top portion of his head. When he woke up the next day. He went in the pool at his apartment with everyone looking at him laughing.

Got drunk, woke up, still drunk, and then you drove home. I hope to god you are severely exaggerating. If you are admitting to drinking and driving, that just makes you an *******.

Amazing!

The PO85RD with a white pad does that much correction wow!

I'm used to using Optimum Polish and an orange pad for something like that. Or stepped up to Optimum Compound. I'll have to get some of this stuff!

That pic of the open door is SICK sir!! I love it!

You know you could have just asked me for some metal polish -I've got plenty of the Mother's aluminum polish stuff. Oh well, I think someone just needed to go crash... It's OK, we've all been there.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments!

CLB: I should have asked you, but I was pretty much done with the car and had to run. Next time though! Or, I should just go ahead and buy some, HAH! Probably will need it for next time...

I was fine to drive. Just really hungover. Texas is one of those places where they really don't have any tolerance for that.

I am not sure if the 106FF has less dust, it's a finishing polish just the same but with a little less cut.

Thanks CBlakeNS! I just received word from the owner that the end of lease people were very impressed with the overal state of the car, they even missed a small dent above the rear left wheel well that I had gone over quite a few times to where the curves of the vehicle hid it.

All in all, they ended up saving quite a bit of money by letting me detail it. Their '08 Lexus is next...
