Detail time!
Long time no review. Well it has been a few weeks at least and I had the time so a little review of S&R couldn;t hurt now could it? I've been fighting a leak in my Jeep so I removed the left rear tire and noticed how grumy it was. I did a quick cleaning on it about a year ago which helped a little but it was still a mess as you can tell in the pics. Most of the brake dust and junk has been there since new... 1998. But it's a Jeep and no one can see back there.
Onto the review. Poorboy's Spray and Rinse. I think that's all I really need to say- spray and rinse
. Very easy to use and quite effective. Remember that this is a professional grade product and you should take certain precautions while using this product. In my case I had a lot of brake dust, dirt, grease, and grime which I wanted to see removed. I rinsed the wheel off, sprayed some S&R on, let sit for about 2-3 minutes, and hosed off. Huge improvement. Not perfect but big difference. So instead of taking the time (and using more product) to keep trying to remove everything with just the S&R I decided to scrub what I could. I'm not looking for having them 100% perfect but just looking respectable. And for the 6-7 minutes it took, I am very happy with the results. Conclusion is that if you have stubborn brake dust or work on vehicles that have a lot of it! PB S&R should be in your arsenal. It's easy enough to use, it'll save you time, and the results speak for themselves.
Before:
Hosed off:
S&R applied:
S&R rinsed off (no scrub)
After a little scrubbing:
And a little half and half picture:
I feel a little embarassed posting these pictures because they aren't up to DC standards but it's a Jeep. I'll try to take some pics of a normal cleaning with S&R to update this thread. Hope you like the pictures.
