What did you get to go up in? And where was this show at?

I was out at some property near Selfrage Air Base this weekend target shooting and I saw two fighter jets and a huge cargo plane go over. The jets where off in the distance but loud and the cargo plane went right on top of us and low. I love that stuff and the people that live there and see it daily don't even look up anymore. LOL

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

One of these years I need to go to EAA, I'm only about an hour or so away and have never been there.

Sweet pics! I am a student pilot (still plugging away towards my private piolt ticket!) and airplane fanatic.

TH0001 / Bigfoot / Blue Zero / Da Gonz- Glad you liked them.

Bob - We went up twice different plane each time - the one in the pic was a little Cessna. The second was a really small, curvy/aerodynamic looking plane.. can't remember the name.

We were at Oakland Airport in Waterford - Unfortunately when you see something every day it loses it's novelty I guess??

jasonmac - yes it really was a lot of fun.. It was sooo hot but my son didn't want to leave until he was really exhausted..

After he told me it was a tie for the "funnest day of the summer".. Tied with when we went to Cedar Point (premier roller coaster park)

Thanks for taking a peek into our weekend:2thumbs:

Hows your cirrus doing? Does it have any probs other than the standard alternator popping the CB during startup? What is the actual life limit of those things too? I heard it's 7 years?, is that right? Do you have the avidyne or standard instruments?

Jason,

Very nice pics and I'm so glad you and your son had a great time......THAT part is priceless!
