Congratulations to Mike from everyone at properautocare. Gee, had we known he was looking for a job, he could have joined Todd as the "Terrible Twosome". Now that would have been entertaining. Good luck Mike.

jk

Mike's a knowledgible guy that sometimes lets his smarter than thou attitude get in the way. That's why I quit MOL, and AG online is just shill city so I'll stick to TID, Detailing Bliss and who knows - maybe I'll try MOL again, maybe.

I guess he must really want his new job at Autogeek.

He has to move to Florida.

Good luck and Congrats to Mike.

LOL!

I still post at MOL (a lot) and I like it, although recently they have permitted a few dimwitted know nothings post too much information which is either 1) utterly useless or 2) plain wrong. Maybe something is up at MOL.

On the other hand, I learned a TON from guys at MOL, like Mike, Tim Lingor, Rasky (posting here as well), Nick Chapman (posts here), PorscheGuy etc....

Mike Phillips is a great guy IMO and I was honored when he let me teach the KBM at his class at Detail Fest or when he told me that I should be teaching the class. I have never found him (personally) to be any more than a humble and truly good person.

Mike is very experienced and really has a great way of explaining information so that beginners and more experienced detailers have a way of understanding. MOL will be a different place without him, but the forum is self-sustaining and has lots of great people. In addition any place that has Mike will benefit from his knowledge, particularly those who seem to need it the most.

As a friend I look forward to hopefully seeing him more and wish him the absolute best luck in his new endevor!

I, too, was very impressed with Mike's demeanor at DF and his sincere interest in my part of the discussion I had with him. I wish him the best of luck and I'm happy to now have him a little closer (FL).

Does anyone else think there may be something to do with 3M buying Meg's and maybe there are some things Mike knows that we all don't yet? Just a thought and maybe way off center but a thought nonetheless.

Wondering how 'Big Mike' will fit in ...customer service, shipping, phones.

I think they have bigger plans than that for Mike. It would be a waste to utlilize him soley for manning the phones. I bet AG will have him off travelling the country doing training, making training videos and who knows what else.

Maybe he will share whats in his future at AG when I see him tonight at his last Meguiar's Thursday Night Open Garage.

Mike

I was shocked to hear this news. To many people, Mike IS Meguiars.

Selling the house in Apple Valley.... moving the family completely across the country.... Mike is a real west coast boy, will he be lost on the east coast?

Wonder if Lynn has a job lined up at AG, too?

Guess he'll have to sell his jet boat dreams for a swamp buggy fantasy!!

I wish him and his family all the best in this new venture. From one California boy to another, Welcome to Eastern Standard Time, Mike.
